Historical fiction is a genre I try to avoid as much as I can. It's just not my cup of tea. This book was different. I wanted to read it and see whether I'd like it or not. It took three pages, then I knew I was gonna love this book. Even though this is a pretty long book, it was a pleasure reading it. I'm so glad I decided to pick it up.
I had to get used to the writing, because it did have some very long and describing parts, but when I got through them, it was all good.
There were a lot of characters and I had a bit of a hard time keeping track of all of them. Uba, Iza and Broud - I liked all of them. I know you're supposed to dislike Broud, but for whatever reason, I didn't.
