This book is a must read. Absolutely a must read.
It took me a couple of pages to get into this book, because there are a lot of characters. When you get to know them, everything's good.
Samantha is a really strong MC, she was so well written, it's amazing. She really got under my skin. But then, so did most of these characters. Unfortunately, most of them doesn't play a big role for the story.
This is my first time reading a book by [a:Jakob Ejersbo|1555180|Jakob Ejersbo|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1300912367p2/1555180.jpg] and it took me by surprise. I haven't read anything quite like this before, so it took some getting used to, but it was so worth it! The chapters were very short - the longest was just 3 pages long - and that made it easy to read "just one more chapter" before going to sleep. I'm very impressed by the writing in this book. I really am.
The plot of this book is very thought provoking, and some of the passages in this book really got under my sking. Some things I just don't want to know (and no, I'm not talking about sex here). There are quite a few relevant themes in this book: racism, sex, emotions, relationships, family, authority etc. Reading this book made me sick from time to time, but I couldn't put it down. I got angry, sad, depressed. This clearly isn't the book you should read if you feel like dancing and jumping around from happiness, but at some point in your life, I really think you should pick up this book!
